New Year. New venues. New writing.

As I sit here writing this, I am reminded of how far I’ve come. My first novel is published. Still Life In Blood is out there. In cyber space, on Amazon Kindle. And it’s in printed books with a beautiful cover, with insides that smells amazing.

I published my novel.

Some days I’m surprised by this fact, other days I know I deserve it. But either way, I’m happy. I am humbled by the multiple five-star reviews for Still Life In Blood and praise I’ve received over the last 4 months. Browseabout Books in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Biblion Books in Lewes, Delaware, and Bethany Beach Books in, you guessed it, Bethany Beach, Delaware, have all be wonderful for selling my novel.

I’ve had several book signings. I’ve been on the radio. It’s been fun talking about it, writing about it. Heck, it was really fun—and scary—to write the book.

And now I’m pleased to announce that I will be in Denver, Colorado, in a couple months, to sign copies at an Author Tea. Details will come soon, but I wanted to give everyone a heads up! If you know anyone in Denver, let them know! If you live in Denver, check out my facebook page (off to the left in a side bar), or keep checking back here for details on the when and how long and all that fun stuff. I do know that the Author Tea is set for March 15, but time is still uncertain. It will be settled soon, though. And I’ll let you know the location when the time is set!

I plan on talking about the writing process with those attending, and even reading from the novel and signing copies!

For those interested, please email me at:; we may need to RSVP—I’ll know by the weekend. If I get a lot of interest, I may have to come back another time to do another tea!

I’m also working on a second murder-mystery and a science fiction novel (which will take longer than the murder mystery). The murder mystery involves some of the same characters of Still Life In Blood.

Thanks so much for all the support over the last few years! I look forward to entertaining you with my novels writing for many more years!

  1. Crystal, my mom told me about your book, and I have to say it’s one of the best murder mysteries i’ve read in a very long time! Loved all the twists and turns and the fact that nothing was predictable! Write faster!!! I’m waiting for the next one 🙂

    • Thank you so much, I’m flattered! I am working on the next novel, which takes place in the middle of a snow storm! Kind of fitting that the weather is going to give me some real-life experience today! Stay safe out there. 🙂
