“If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write. Simple as that.” ~ Stephen King
I’m currently reading two books. Yes, at the same time. I can’t read one book at a time. I’m a multitasker, so to speak. I’ve just started two books, depending on my mood; IN THE WOODS, by Tana French, and A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES, by Deborah Harkness. Both have different feels, different genres.
I don’t pigeonhole myself into a particular genre. If my work needs a bit more mystery work, I’ll read a bit from Tana’s book before I start writing (or any other great writer like Margaret Atwood), same goes for the witch story, if I need more paranormal stuff, I’ll read some of Ms. Harkness’ book.
How about you? Are you a single-book reader, or do you live slightly on edge and read more than one?
